Poroshenko, Lukashenko discuss preparations for First Forum of Regions of Ukraine and Belarus in Gomel in 2018
The president's of Ukraine and Belarus, Petro Poroshenko and Alexander Lukashenko, in a telephone conversation discussed the forthcoming First Forum of Regions of the two countries, planned for this year in Gomel.
"The heads of state noted the importance of a proper preparation for holding the First Forum of Regions of Ukraine and Belarus in Gomel this year. In this context they discussed intensifying the trade, economic and cultural component of interregional cooperation," Poroshenko's press service reported on Tuesday.
The interlocutors also discussed topical issues on the agenda of the Ukrainian-Belarusian relations, in particular, the development of bilateral political dialogue and future contacts at the highest level.
