It's important that all Ukraine's intl partners clearly state about illegality of holding presidential elections in Crimea
The upcoming elections of the Russian president in the occupied Crimea are illegitimate, and this should be spoken not only by Ukraine, but also by its international partners, First Deputy Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Iryna Gerashchenko has said.
"It is very important that during these three weeks that remain before the elections in Crimea, it is necessary that not only Ukraine shout about them, but all our international partners very clearly state that now they are trying to hold an illegal presidential election of a foreign country in Crimea," said Gerashchenko at the international forum titled "Occupied Peninsula: Four Years of Resistance" in Kyiv on Monday.
According to Gerashchenko, legitimizing of elections in Crimea "is the legitimization of Putin's aggression, the legitimization of the theft of Crimea."
