Klimkin believes residents of occupied Donbas and Crimea will choose European integration
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin believes that the residents of the occupied part of Donbas and the annexed Crimea will choose the path of European integration.
"There are only two paths for the occupied Donbas: either European integration, or Russian occupation administration. I am confident that given real, free and fair elections people will choose the former," the foreign minister wrote on his Twitter account on Tuesday.
He said he believes the population of Crimea will choose the path of European integration, as well.
"By the way, the same applies to the occupied Crimea," he tweeted.
As reported, Ukraine's President Petro Poroshenko signed on February 20 the law "On the peculiarities of the state policy to ensure the state sovereignty of Ukraine in the temporarily occupied territories in Donetsk and Luhansk regions".
