Saakashvili supporters demand resignation of president, creation of anti-crisis government
Participants in a march "For the Future," organized by the Movement of New Forces party, adopted a resolution at a rally in Kyiv on Sunday, February 18, demanding the resignation of Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and declaring the creation of committees of civil resistance and direct action groups.
"We demand the immediate resignation of the president. We will hold early parliamentary elections after early presidential elections. We will elect a transitional parliament for one year. Some 300 people will come there and adopt the necessary laws and changes to the Constitution," the protesters read out the resolution from the stage.
The document also contains a statement on the establishment of an anti-crisis government, "which will quickly bring order to the country."
The protesters also announced the establishment of committees of civil resistance the continuation of the collection of signatures for Poroshenko's dismissal as president.
