Finland says it would back peacekeeping operation in eastern Ukraine
President of Finland Sauli Niinistö has announced Finland must be involved should an international peace-keeping operation be organized in eastern Ukraine by a UN mandate, the Finnish-based news portal Yle said.
"This is the largest problem now facing Europe. If there's any indication that the situation could be resolved, Finland must take part both in spirit and action," the president said at the international Munich Security Conference on February 17.
