Former Georgian president and Ukraine's Movement of New Forces leader Mikheil Saakashvili was taken away by some people wearing camouflage uniform from a restaurant in Kyiv, his associate David Sakvarelidze said.
"They've taken Mikhail away," Sakvarelidze wrote on Facebook on Monday afternoon, reposting a 7-second-long video footage from Saakashvili's page in social media.
The former Forbes Ukraine editor-in-chief, Vladimir Fedorin, wrote in his Facebook page: "People wearing GPSU [Ukrainian State Border Guard Service] jackets took Saakashvili away."
Fedorin noted in his comments that Saakashvili had been captured in the Suluguni restaurant at 10, Muzeiny Lane in central Kyiv. The office of Mikheil Saakashvili's Movement of New Forces party is on the same lane.
