Macron calls for measures proposed by France, Germany to resolve conflict in Donbas
French President Emmanuelle Macron has held a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, stressing the need to immediately implement humanitarian measures proposed by France and Germany to resolve the conflict in Donbas.
"In connection with the Russian-Ukrainian crisis, the president of the republic noted that the implementation of the Minsk agreements had reached a deadlock and stressed the need for concrete measures to resolve the situation and alleviate the suffering of the people, consolidate the ceasefire and immediately implement humanitarian measures proposed by France and Germany," reads a statement posted on the website of the French president on Friday, February 9.
