Poroshenko next week to discuss further Germany's participation in settling situation in Donbas with Merkel
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko next week could discuss the further participation of Germany in settling the situation in Donbas and the issue of the UN peacekeeping mission with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Kostiantyn Yeliseyev has said.
"I do not rule out that next week our president will also contact German Chancellor Angela Merkel. During the talk they will certainly discuss the further involvement of Germany in the settlement of the situation in Donbas and new initiatives that are laid down in the German coalition agreement, in particular, this concerns the deployment of a UN peacekeeping mission in the occupied Donbas," he said on the Inter TV channel on Friday evening.
