Kyiv's general plan should be adopted to stop chaotic development - Klitschko
It is necessary to adopt Kyiv's general plan in 2018 to stop the chaotic development of the city, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko has said.
"Our task is to adopt the general plan of Kyiv so that all Kyiv residents know what will be built in the city, and where," Kyiv City State Administration's press service quoted him as saying at a Kyiv City Council meeting.
He noted that the Kyiv authorities are trying to end the construction in the city, which is conducted in violation of the law.
Klitschko also added that the construction of residential houses should immediately provide for the construction of social institutions – kindergartens, schools, medical institutions and other necessary infrastructure.
In his opinion, the adoption of the city's general plan will help end periodic confrontations between residents of Kyiv and developers.
