National Police announces creation of new unit to combat organized crime
The National Police of Ukraine have agreed to create a new unit to combat organized crime, the completion of the formation is expected before the end of the year, said First Deputy Head of the National Police of Ukraine Viacheslav Abroskin.
"We have already agreed on the strategy for the creation of this unit [to combat organized crime] and by the end of this year we are waiting for the completion of its formation," the National Police said on Facebook on Saturday evening.
Deputy heads of the National Police specified that the main tasks of the unit would include work on combating organized crime.
He also added that all candidates for the service in the unit would pass the appropriate competitive selection.
