Militants plotting provocations, attacks against civilians in Donbas
The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry has warned about provocations being prepared by militants in Donbas in the next few days.
"Militants and Russian occupation forces are plotting serious provocations and even terrorist attacks against civilians on both sides of the contact line. Vital infrastructure facilities such as power lines, water and gas pipelines may come under shelling by militants," Defense Ministry spokesman for the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) Dmytro Hutsuliak said at a briefing on Tuesday.
According to him, the provocations that are being prepared may be related to the intensification of the training of militants and the arrival of another so-called "humanitarian convoy" from Russia.
