Poroshenko says about inadmissibility of crimes like Holocaust in future
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has said about inadmissibility of repeating similar crimes to the Holocaust in the future.
"Ukraine, along with the civilized world, stands still for the embodiment of the ideals of humanity, dignity and freedom. We remember and change the world for the better ...," he wrote on his Facebook page.
In turn, Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Hennadiy Zubko on his Facebook also noted the International Day of Remembrance of the Victims of the Holocaust.
"About 150,000 of our fellow citizens of different nationalities have been tortured in Babi Yar. Millions of people have been killed by the totalitarian regime during the Holodomor. All of them are our common pain, our memory and warning. We bow our heads before the blessed memory of the victims of the Holocaust," he said.
