Such data are contained in the report of the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA) of the United Nations "World Population Prospects" (2017).
According to the data, in 2017 the population of Ukraine was 44.223 million people (20.446 million men and 23.777 million women). Until 2030, the population of the country may decrease to 41.2 million, until 2050 there may be 36.416 million, and 28.186 million people are expected to remain in Ukraine until 2100.
The report indicates that the decrease in the population of Ukraine and another 50 countries in the period from 2017 to 2050 is explained by low birth rate.
