Groysman predicts Ukraine could get next IMF tranche in June 2018
Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman expects Ukraine to receive the next tranche from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in the first half of 2018.
"I think, [the next tranche] could be obtained in June this year inclusive... in the first half of 2018," he said on the air of 112.ua.
According to him, Ukraine is in talks with the IMF on the formation of gas prices.
"During this heating season the government will not make any decisions on raising gas prices, as I promised. As for the new formula, we are in a dialogue and will promulgate this decision as soon as we find the right mechanisms with the IMF," the prime minister said.
Earlier Minister of Finance Oleksandr Danyliuk announced Ukraine plans by May this year to fulfill all the obligations undertaken on the EFF program, which will allow receiving the next tranche of the loan. President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, in turn, called the approximate date of the next tranche until April, as at the moment Ukraine has fulfilled 80% of its obligations.
