A helicopter has crashed into a television tower and fell to the ground in Kremenchuk, Poltava region, the local newspaper Kremenchutsky Telegraph reported.
The newspaper reports with reference to eyewitnesses, the accident occurred at around 19:00 on Thursday, January 25.
"It was foggy and the helicopter most probably flew into a tower or a power line. We heard several explosions," the eyewitness told the newspaper.
Residents of the 304th residential block (Petrivka) said they had a blackout. Firefighters, police and paramedics are working at the site.
The Mi-8 helicopter belonging to the Ukrainian Helicopters company was on a training flight.
According to TSN.UA, after the helicopter fell it caught fire, and three people were killed.
