Muzhenko, Volker discuss Donbas situation at meeting in Kyiv

Chief of the General Staff – Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Viktor Muzhenko and U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine Negotiations Kurt Volker met in Kyiv on Tuesday.

"Viktor Muzhenko met with U.S. State Department Special Representative for Ukraine Kurt Volker on Tuesday, January 23. During the meeting, Ukraine's Army General Viktor Muzhenko briefed the U.S. diplomat about the current situation in Ukraine's east," the General Staff reported on Facebook.

The two officials also exchanged views on topical issues of regional security and prospects for the development of bilateral relations between Ukraine and the United States in the defense sector.

The meeting was attended by U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Jovanovic.

As reported, Volker arrived in Kyiv on Tuesday.
