Adoption of Donbas law to promote sending of peacekeeping mission - Yatsenyuk
The Verkhovna Rada's adoption of the bill on Donbas will strengthen Kyiv's positions in promoting the idea of sending a peacekeeping mission to the region, Arseniy Yatsenyuk, the leader of the People's Front and former prime minister of Ukraine, said.
"It's a significant decision the parliament has taken, which will make it possible for the UN, the UN Security Council, to decide to send peacekeepers, to give the Ukrainian state the opportunity to rebuild its territorial integrity," Yatsenyuk told reporters at the parliament after the vote on Thursday.
