Naftogaz to seek UAH 1 bln of compensation from new owners of licenses seized from company
National joint-stock company Naftogaz Ukrainy plans to seek UAH 1 billion of compensation in court from companies that would buy three licenses earlier seized by the State Service for Geology and Deposits from the NJSC, Naftogaz Head Andriy Kobolev said at a press conference in Kyiv on Wednesday.
"We believe that these licenses were terminated for far-fetched reasons. Now we hear news that they are going to be put up for sale. The company has invested about UAH 1 billion in these licenses. The company's management plans to apply to court, at least, to reimburse these funds," he said.
Kobolev recalled that the company's licenses were seized by the State Service for Geology and Deposits under a request of the Poltava Regional Council.
