Poroshenko urges opposition to balance degree of internal political struggle
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has called on the opposition to balance the degree of internal political struggle taking into account the situation in eastern Ukraine, so that Russian dictatorship again could not take advantage of Ukrainian democracy in its own interests.
"I will also keep calling my compatriots, supporters of opposition: one has always to balance the degree of internal political competition while taking into due account the situation on our eastern border," he said at a meeting with the heads of diplomatic missions of foreign countries and international organizations in Ukraine in Kyiv on Tuesday, January 16.
At the same time, he noted that "there are some who missed my call."
"[There are politicians] who lost the sense of balance. This is also a display that Ukrainians are wise and will not let the Russian dictatorship to use the Ukrainian democracy in its imperialistic interests," Poroshenko said.
