Klimkin invites Czech foreign minister to visit Ukraine

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin has invited Czech counterpart Martin Stropnicky to visit Ukraine in the near future.

"I have spoken with my Czech counterpart Stropnicky. As a former defense minister, Martin understands what a threat Russia currently poses to Europe, and invited him to visit Ukraine in the near future," Klimkin wrote on his Twitter page on Tuesday.

In turn, the Foreign Affairs Ministry of the Czech Republic reported that Stropnicky and Klimkin discussed the situation in the occupied Crimea and eastern Ukraine.

The Czech Foreign Minister confirmed the support of Ukrainian territorial integrity and sovereignty. "We consider the illegal annexation of Crimea to be a serious violation of international law," Stropnicky was quoted by the press service of the Czech Foreign Ministry.

The minister also confirmed the readiness of the Czech government to continue supporting reforms in Ukraine.
