The supervisory board of PrJSC VF Ukraine (providing mobile services under the Vodafone-Ukraine brand) on January 10 decided to complete the transaction to borrow EUR 90 million for the purchase of 4G (LTE) licenses, the operator's press service told Interfax-Ukraine.
"The transaction value is EUR 90 million (UAH 2.973 billion) .The ratio of the market value of the property being the subject of the transaction to the value of assets of PrJSC VF Ukraine is 19.18%," the company reports in the information disclosure system of the National Securities and Stock Market Commission.
The value of assets of PrJSC VF Ukraine according to the annual financial statements for 2016 is UAH 15,494,242, or $0.54 million at the current forex rate.
Ukraine's telecoms market regulator announced a tender for 4G licenses in the range of 2600 MHz, which is scheduled to be held on January 23, 2018.
A tender for 4G in the radio frequency bands 1710-1785 MHz, 1805-1880 MHz is scheduled for February 26.
The regulator calls on operators to accelerate the submission of bids for 4G to minimize costs.
