Three Ukrainian soldiers killed, three wounded, one injured in Donbas
Three servicemen of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were killed in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) zone, three others were wounded, and one was injured on Wednesday, the ATO press center reported.
"Over the past day, seven shellings of ATO forces by militants were recorded. In one case, the Ukrainian military gave the aggressor an adequate response... During the execution of combat missions, three Ukrainian soldiers were killed, three others were wounded, and one was injured," the ATO headquarters press service reported on its Facebook page on Thursday morning.
Ukrainian military positions in Donbas have come under fire seven times over the past 24 hours, it said.
In the Luhansk sector, militants attacked Ukrainian positions in the vicinity of Troyitske, the Svitlodarsk bulge, Luhanske and Novoluhanske, using mortars and large-caliber machineguns among other weapons, the press center said.
In the Donetsk sector, shelling attacks involving automatic grenade launchers were seen near Verkhnetoretske and the Butovka mine.
