Ukraine's deputy foreign minister singles out Volker - Surkov format's work in 2017

Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine for European Integration Olena Zerkal has singled out the negotiation format at the level of U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine Negotiations Kurt Volker and advisor to Russian President Vladislav Surkov in 2017.

"There is no alternative format, so everyone supports the Minsk format ... This year the Volker-Surkov format worked more intensively," she said on Channel 5 on Tuesday.

Zerkal added that Ukraine is trying to use all formats and all platforms to achieve results.

Volker was appointed U.S. special representative for Ukraine in July 2017.
