NBU Council recommends creating State Agency for Small and Medium Enterprises
The Council of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) recommends that the Cabinet consider the creation of a State Agency for the Development of Small- and Medium-sized Enterprises.
This recommendation is contained in an NBU Council decision dated December 13, the NBU said on its website.
Also, the NBU Council recommends that the government ensure priority compensation of funds for loans and interest on them to small- and medium-sized businesses and introduce single rules for the approval of state loan reimbursement programs.
Banks should have "the fullest possible access" to state registers for obtaining complete information about borrowers, the NBU Council recommends. In particular, these are a database of customers' financial statements and databases of the State Register of Enterprises and Organizations of Ukraine.
