Ukraine exports 19.5 mln tonnes of grain since July 1
Ukraine exported 19.535 million tonnes of grain from July 1, 2017, when the 2017/2018 marketing year began, to December 21, 2017, the Ukrainian Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry has reported.
In particular, Ukraine shipped about 11 million tonnes of wheat, 3.8 million tonnes of barley, 4.7 million tonnes of maize.
Ukraine also exported 214,500 tonnes of flour over the period under review.
The ministry earlier said Ukraine exported 43.9 million tonnes of grain in the previous, 2016/2017 marketing year.
In 2016, Ukraine harvested about 66 million tonnes of grain, the State Statistics Service of Ukraine has reported.
The ministry expects the harvest in 2017 to be 62.3 million tonnes.
