Issue of Ukrzaliznytsia smooth work in top priority

Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman considers extremely important the rhythmic work of the railway industry in the country, raising the repair of traction and rolling stock and infrastructure.

"I would like to note that now the question of Ukrzaliznytsia smooth work is a top priority. In fact, we need a qualitatively working system of Ukrainian railways. New traction should be delivered and the existing one should be repaired. It is obvious that it is necessary to increase the volume of repairs," he said at a government meeting in Kyiv after the presentation of Ukrzaliznytsia projects by its head Yevhen Kravtsov.

He also demanded to monthly monitor the plan of commissioning newly built or purchased wagons.

"You have to monthly fulfill the plan and commission 10,000 wagons per year. Starting from January, you have to announce tenders and monitor their procedures, so that we are not blocked from holding tenders again so that we could not deliver the products - I think this is diversion against the state," the prime minister said.
