EU Council to extend sanctions on Russia on Dec 21

The Council of the European Union is expected to decide on the extension of economic sanctions against Russia on Thursday, December 21, a source in the Council's Estonian presidency told Interfax.

This will happen according to the written procedure in the early afternoon, the source said.

It was reported that the EU heads of state and government approved another extension of the sanctions at their summit in Brussels on December 14.
