EU backs adoption of bill on inland water transport if amendments are made - Mingarelli
Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine Hugues Mingarelli has supported the adoption of a draft law on inland water transport in Ukraine, but draws attention to the need to amend the legislation in accordance with the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement.
"Mingarelli: The EU supports the adoption of draft law No. 2475 on inland water transport by the Verkhovna Rada if amendments are made to legislation in accordance with the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement," the EU Delegation to Ukraine reported on Twitter on Tuesday.
European diplomats also stressed that the adoption of this bill was an important step for reforming the transport sector in Ukraine, as well as for necessary investment in inland water transport.
