NSDC hopes Rada to pass framework national security bill in 2018
First Deputy Secretary of the National Defense and Security Council (NDSC) of Ukraine Oleksandr Lytvynenko has said that work on the national security bill has finished.
He expressed hope that in 2018, Ukraine's Verkhovna Rada would pass the document, the press service of the NSDC has reported.
Speaking at a roundtable on Monday in Kyiv, Lytvynenko said that next year the NSDC is waiting for the results of the implementation of the National Security Strategy of Ukraine, the concept for development of the security and defense sector of Ukraine and the Strategic Defense Bulletin, as well as the adoption of some documents on reforms in the areas of state secret protection and strengthening opportunities of external intelligence that are being worked out.
He said that one of the most important tasks is to achieve compatibility with NATO.
