PGO ready to attract intl experts to verify authenticity of digital recordings implicating Saakashvili, Kurchenko
Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko has said that Ukrainian law enforcers are ready to give for international experts records to examine digital audio recordings purportedly between former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili and businessman Serhiy Kurchenko, who is fleeing in Russia.
"We are ready to invite foreign experts from the FBI or Scotland Yard to ensure that they, together with our experts, verify the authenticity of these records. I am sure that this is necessary and can be done," the Prosecutor General said on ICTV on Monday evening.
Lutsenko noted that the Prosecutor General's Office is ready to prove that all recorded intercepts are genuine.
