Russia testing new weapons in Donbas – Defense ministry

The Russian Federation is testing new weapons and equipment in certain areas of Donetsk and Luhansk regions in the east of Ukraine, First Deputy Defense Minister Ivan Rusnak has said.

According to the website of the Defense Ministry, Rusnak informed Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Ukraine Salem Ahmed Salem Al-Kaabi about this. "Ukraine has found itself in a difficult situation in connection with Russian aggression; in particular, Russia is testing the latest samples of weapons and military equipment in the east of our country. We should achieve significant success in equipping our army in such conditions," the deputy minister said during the meeting.

According to the report, the sides discussed priority issues and prospects for cooperation between Ukraine and the UAE in the defense industry.

The Ambassador thanked for the cooperation and expressed interest in the further development of bilateral relations. "Recently, we have ascertained only positive dynamics in our cooperation," Salem Ahmed Al Kaabi said.
