Poroshenko announces referendums on joining NATO, EU; convinced of their positive results
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko does not doubt the positive results of future referenda on Ukraine's accession to NATO and the European Union.
"We are firmly committed to Euro-Atlantic integration. And do not even doubt that in the foreseeable future, referenda will definitely be held in Ukraine on joining NATO. And I am convinced that the people of Ukraine will support this initiative and membership in the European Union. The results of the voting will be just as convincingly positive as the referendum on independence already inscribed in the annals of history," he said at a solemn event on the occasion of the Day of Public Prosecutors in Kyiv on Friday.
