Financing of air reconnaissance to increase in 2018 – Poltorak
Defense Minister of Ukraine Stepan Poltorak has announced plans to increase financing in the next year of purchases, maintenance and maintenance of unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as training specialists, creating the appropriate units in the combat units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
He said this at a meeting with head of the Air Reconnaissance Support Center Maria Berlinska, volunteer Inna Shevchuk and Colonel Marat Utyushev, the press service of the Defense Ministry of Ukraine reported.
"The Defense Ministry is ready to introduce the experience of volunteers who have been helping unarmed aircraft servicemen from the first day of Russian aggression and are continuing to train specialists in this field. The Defense Ministry is also ready to join the creation of a training school for air reconnaissance experts along with volunteers," Poltorak said.
"The experience they acquired during the fighting in the east of the country is priceless, and we have no right to lose it," the defense minister said.
