Militants shell ATO positions 18 times on Wednesday, no casualties reported – HQ
Militants launched 18 attacks on Wednesday, the headquarters of the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) in Donbas said on Facebook on Thursday.
"In the past 24 hours, the Russian occupation forces continued firing on Ukrainian army positions, including by use of weapons prohibited by the Minsk Agreements. Seven mortar attacks on defense lines were observed over the day, and about 50 mortar shells were fired," the headquarters said.
When needed, the Ukrainian army returned fire using small arms and grenade launchers. Eighteen ceasefire breaches were seen throughout the contact line over the day. None of the servicemen was hurt in those attacks, the staff said.
