U.S. to hand two patrol vessels over to Ukraine – U.S. Ambassador Yovanovitch
The United States and Ukraine are negotiating the transfer of two patrol vessels to the Ukrainian side, U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch has said.
We continue working on the issue of the possible transfer of two Island-class patrol vessels to Ukraine, Yovanovitch said, speaking at the International Conference on Maritime Security in Kyiv on Tuesday.
She also said that the maritime security sector is a pilot project for the reform of the entire defense sector in Ukraine.
Yovanovitch added that NATO continues the support of all naval operations in Ukraine.
