Poroshenko invites King of Belgium to visit Ukraine
Ukraine's President Petro Poroshenko during an audience with King of Belgium Philippe thanked him for political support and noted the intensification of economic relations between the two countries.
"Petro Poroshenko thanked the King for the political support, solidarity and practical assistance to Ukraine in countering the external aggression, the interlocutors noted the intensification of economic bilateral relations, and expressed satisfaction with the high level of cooperation within international organizations," the Ukrainian president's press service reported.
Poroshenko expressed the hope that Belgium will continue to support Ukraine on the path of integration into the European Union, as well as back the policy of sanctions until the full restoration of Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
In the context of paying tribute to the victims of the man-made famine Holodomor of 1932-1933 on the 85th anniversary of the tragedy, he stressed the importance of recognizing the Holodomor as a crime against the Ukrainian people.
Poroshenko also invited King Philippe to visit Ukraine at his convenience.
