Hug to visit eastern Ukraine on Nov 19-25 to discuss Minsk accords implementation with Zakharchenko, Plotnitsky
Principal Deputy Chief Monitor of the OSCE SMM to Ukraine Alexander Hug will visit eastern Ukraine on November 19-25, where he intends, in particular, to discuss the security situation and the implementation of the Minsk agreements with the so-called ORDLO leaders Alexander Zakharchenko and Igor Plotnitsky.
According to the press release of the OSCE SMM, the purpose of the visit is to assess the security situation along the contact line, as well as to assess the critical infrastructure that is awaiting repair. Hug will urge all interested parties to normalize the situation.
"He also asked for a meeting and is ready to discuss with Mr. Zakharchenko and Mr. Plotnitsky the security situation in the area and the implementation of the Minsk agreements, as well as obstacles to monitoring by the SMM," it was reported.
Hug during the visit will join the observers of the OSCE SMM, which are located along the contact line.
