Wage raise for Ukrainian doctors planned after medical reform start
The increase in salaries for medical workers in Ukraine is planned after the launch of the medical reform, Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman has said.
"We are planning such an increase, but it will be effective when we start the reform of the healthcare sphere, which was adopted by the parliament. At the primary level - the level of family medicine - we will be able to begin systemic changes in 2018 that will increase salaries," he said in the course of an hour of questions to the government on Friday.
According to the prime minister, "a Ukrainian doctor must have a decent salary."
As reported, in October the Verkhovna Rada approved at the second reading and in general draft law on state financial guarantees for the provision of medical services and medicines (No. 6327), the so-called medical reform.
