Vega launch vehicle with Ukrainian engine lifts off from French Guiana space centre

The European carrier Vega with the Ukrainian engine has successfully got off the pad from the Kourou space centre in French Guiana, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said.

"The main engine of the RD-843 4 launch vehicle was developed by the State Enterprise Pivdenne Design Bureau and manufactured by the Makarov Pivdenny Machine Building Plant," the Ukrainian president wrote on his Facebook page.
