We return Ukrainian language to Ukrainians by defending national minorities – Poroshenko
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko emphasizes the importance of education reform to strengthen the status of the state language for every resident of the country.
"We have adopted a new and ambitious reform of education ... We are returning the Ukrainian language to Ukrainians from an early age. Yes, we protect national minorities, but every Ukrainian will speak Ukrainian, preferably a few more languages," Poroshenko said on Friday at the Forum of representatives of local communities, winners of the October elections, representing the Petro Poroshenko Bloc Solidarity Party.
