Police find machine gun used to assassinate Okuyeva - Gerashchenko

Investigators have found the machine gun used to fire on the car used by volunteer Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) veteran Amina Okuyeva and her husband Adam Osmayev, Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine deputy (People's Front Party faction) Anton Gerashchenko has said.

"The weapon used to murder Okuyeva last week has been found. DNA traces of the person who used it have been found and are currently being analyzed by criminal forensic specialists and the police," Gerashchenko said during an interview aired by the Priamy TV channel.

As earlier reported, on October 30 Okuyeva was assassinated in the town of Hlevakha outside Kyiv. Her husband Osmayev was driving the car.

Kyiv's Prosecutor General's Office (PGO) has opened a criminal investigation pursuant to Point 11 of Part 2 of Article 115 (premeditated murder) of Ukraine's Criminal Code.
