Regional procurator's office oversees probe into deputy Samarsky's murder
Luhansk Regional Prosecutor's Office is overseeing a pre-trial investigation into the deliberate murder of Severodonetsk Town Council deputy Serhiy Samarsky, who headed the faction of the Bloc of Petro Poroshenko's Solidarity Party in the council.
According to the press service of the regional prosecutor's office, the necessary investigative actions are being conducted to establish the circumstances of the crime. All possible scenarios behind the murder are being considered, in particular, political and journalistic activities of the deputy, personal hostility, hooliganism, and the activities of his own law firm.
The prosecutor's office said that late on November 2, the Severodonetsk police station of the National Police's main office in Luhansk region received a message from Samarsky's wife that her husband was missing. The body of the man with signs of violent death was found in the early hours of November 3.

As reported, Samarsky was killed late on November 2. Samarsky's body with signs of violent death was found at about 00.20 on November 3. Criminal proceedings were launched under Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (premeditated murder).
Investigators are considering all scenarios behind the deputy's murder, and his political activity is a priority scenario. The scenario related to robbery and business interests before his deputy work is also being worked out.
