Ukraine will not compromise on its draft UN resolution on human rights in Russia-occupied Crimea - Klimkin
Kyiv will not make any compromises on text of its proposed draft resolution for the UN General Assembly on the situation regarding human rights in Russia-occupied Crimea and Sevastopol, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin has said.
"Today in New York, Ukraine presents its new resolution regarding human rights violations in occupied Crimea. We will not make any compromises. The resolution must be clear and consequential," Klimkin said in Kyiv on Tuesday.
The foreign minister said Ukraine insists that Russia fulfill the decision of the UN court, including restoring the activities of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatars in Crimea. He added that the draft resolution also requires restoring access of humanitarian organizations to the peninsula.
