Special Representative of the U.S. Department of State for Ukraine Kurt Volker will visit Kyiv on Friday, October 27, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin has said.
"Tomorrow Kurt [Volker] will visit Ukraine," Klimkin told journalists in Kyiv on Thursday.
Earlier, a well-informed source told Interfax-Ukraine that Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko will meet with Volker soon. The source said that the meeting is scheduled for next week.
Meanwhile, ZN.UA reported referring to its sources in government that Volker will meet Ukrainian authorities before a meeting with Russian presidential aide Vladislav Surkov.
Klimkin met with Volker in New York on October 25. "Had a great meeting with @PavloKlimkin today to discuss Ukraine's vision for how UN can help implement Minsk agreements," the envoy wrote on Twitter.
