More than 1.6 mln IDPs from Crimea, Donbas registered in Ukraine - Social Policy ministry
There is 1.604 million internally displaced persons (IDPs) registered in Ukraine as of October 23, the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine has reported.
"As of October 23, 2017, according to the structural subdivisions of the social protection of the population of the regional and Kyiv city state administrations, 1.604 million IDPs or 1.485 million families from Donbas and Crimea were registered," the press service of the Ministry of Social Policy said on Monday.
More than UAH 2.34 billion was allocated to pay assistance for rent of housing and payment of communal services.
As reported, as of September 25, 1.593 million IDPs were registered in Ukraine.
