Armed Forces confirms three Ukrainians killed in Congo plane crash
The Ukrainian Armed Forces has confirmed reports that three Ukrainians were killed in the crash of a military aircraft in the Congo.
"Three Ukrainians died in the Congo capital, Kinshasa. However, no details were given, since the deceased were not military," a 112.Ukraine TV journalist said live on the channel on October 1.
Ukraine's Channel 24 reported earlier that 12 people were killed as a military plane crashed shortly after take-off in the Congo on Saturday, September 30. According to the report, citing local news site Actualite.cd, that three Ukrainians could be among those killed.
According to an eyewitness of the tragedy, the plane caught fire and fell shortly after take-off from N'djili Airport.
