Cyber attacks recorded in Ukraine every day – cyber police department head
Cyber police in Ukraine record several cyber incidents every day, Head of the cyber police department Serhiy Demediuk has said.
"We record several cyber incidents every day, but this does not mean that targeted threats to citizens are coming in. Malicious software is sent from around the world," he said on Tuesday after a press conference, at which the Emergency Notification System (ENS).was presented.
The head of the department said that active work is underway to create a system for general public notification and a positive example of the ENS can serve as another impetus in the negotiations with operators.
"Negotiations with the operators are going on so that this [general public notification] system becomes publicly available nationwide... At this stage, everything depends on the operators, since it is about using their resources," he said.
