Poroshenko, Groysman congratulate Merkel on winning election

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman have congratulated German Prime Minister Angela Merkel on the victory of her political party in the parliamentary elections to Bundestag.

"Sincere congratulations to Angela Merkel – a winner of the parliamentary elections and an anchor of peace and stability in Europe. A victory that approaches the restoration of territorial integrity of Ukraine and its future in the United Europe!" Poroshenko wrote on his Twitter account on Sunday evening.

Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman also congratulated Merkel.

"I congratulate Angela Merkel and her political power with the victory in Germany's parliamentary elections! Mutually beneficial cooperation between our states will continue to develop!" the premier wrote on his Facebook page.
