Poroshenko: U.S. supports Ukraine's proposal on peacekeepers deployment in Donbas
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has said the U.S. has fully backed Ukraine's proposals concerning the deployment of a peacekeeping mission in the occupied part of Donbas.
"The important point is that the United States has fully backed Ukraine's proposals, my proposals, which were voiced in 2015, regarding the deployment of peacekeepers in the east of Ukraine, in the occupied territory, with the mandate of the UN Security Council," Poroshenko told journalists after a meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump in New York on Thursday.
