Russians cannot be among UN peacekeepers in Donbas – Ukrainian FM
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin has said that Russians cannot take part in the UN peacekeeper mission in Donbas
"We believe that it absolutely cannot be, as Russia is the aggressor country. If it is in the peacekeeper mission, this is inadmissible… Seriously, how Russia that actually occupied the area of Donbas could be in this mission? This is a mixture of conventional and hybrid occupation," he told reporters on the sidelines of the 14th annual YES conference in Kyiv on Saturday.
He said that only those whom we trust and whom international society can trust can participate in this mission.
"We will discuss the structure of the mission later. We have some thoughts, but it I voice them, it would not be ethical towards our partners," the minister said.
